How to use Adobe AI Firefly to transform images for your lessons

Do you have pictures that are not wide enough as a landscape picture? Or not tall enough as a portrait picture? Are you worried that you cannot use your pictures in your Powerpoint or lessonplan? Dont worry. I created a short video where I demonstrate how you can change the aspect ratio of your pictures with AI.

Do you have a picture that is not wide enough as a landscape picture? Or not tall enough as a portrait picture? (Are you worried that you cannot use your pictures?) Dont worry. In this short video I will demonstrate how you can change the aspect ratio of your pictures with AI.

To expand an image go to the website firefly.adobe.com. I used the free version. Scroll down to find: Generative Fill.
Click on the blue button: Generate.
In this new window you can immediately upload your image that you would like to expand.  I choose a picture of a business woman working in an office.  n the left hand you can see three options:

• Insert,
• Remove and,
• Expand.

For now you can ignore the Pan option. Now clickon the option: Expand.
* First grab the handle on the left to Expand the left side to the desired width.
* Grab the handle on the right, to Expand the right side to the desired width.

Prompting techniques
You could insert your prompt here with a written description of the desired outcome, but you can leave it blank for now. Also, you can choose one of the presets for picture formats, such as:

• Square,
• Landscape,
• Widescreen or,
• Portrait.

Now click Generate.

It will take only a few seconds to generate 3 possible new images.  Now you can watch the 3 versions of a new image.
In every image, Adobe Firefly effortlessly continues the original scene, capturing the technical details of the workplace, making the expanded images feel as authentic as the original. And if you dont like what you are seeing just hit the plus-sign to generate more images.

And there you have it!
from now on you can re-use your images, and Adobe Firefly will save you time and effort to re-purpose your pictures.
