Ron Visser founded student Team Rembrandts while studying Mechatronics, part of Fontys Engineering, in Eindhoven. Team Rembrandts participates in the international robotics competitions of the FIRST competition. In 2019 this team became world champion in Detroit. Ron Visser has always been dedicated to everything he does within Team Rembrandts. His enthusiasm is one of the reasons why our team is a success. And therefore, we congratulate him for winning the Woodie Flower Finalist Award!
What is the Woodie Flowers award?
The Woodie Flowers Award celebrates effective communication in the art and science of engineering and design. Dr. William Murphy founded this prestigious award in 1996 to recognize mentors within the FIRST Robotics Competition who lead, inspire, and empower using excellent communication skills.

The mission of FIRST® is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
FIRST in Europe
One of our goals is to have an FRC competition in Europe. According to the jury, Team Rembrandts is making huge steps to reach that goal.

Internationale prijs voor Fontys Engineering-alumnus Ron Visser
Ron Visser richtte studenten team ‘Team Rembrandts’ op tijdens zijn studie Mechatronica, onderdeel van Fontys Engineering, in Eindhoven. Team Rembrandts neemt deel aan de internationale robotica wedstrijden van de FIRST competitie. In 2019 werd dit team wereldkampioen in Detroit.
Ron Visser is altijd toegewijd geweest aan alles wat hij doet binnen Team Rembrandts. Zijn enthousiasme is een van de redenen waarom ons team een succes is. En daarom feliciteren we hem met het winnen van de Woodie Flower Finalist Award.

Over Team Rembrandts
Rembrandts STEAM Foundation is a Dutch Non-Profit organization that started as the First native Dutch robotics team, also known as Team Rembrandts. Team Rembrandts, team 4481, is a robotics team located in Eindhoven with students from Fontys University of Applied Science, Zwijsen College and Heerbeeck College. HBO, WO, MBO and High school combined all together.
