Naast deelname aan robotica wedstrijden zijn ook enkele bedrijfsbezoeken onderdeel van de studiereis naar Californië. Een van de te bezoeken bedrijven is HAAS Automation. Het hoofdkantoor van HAAS ligt in Oxnard. HAAS is global sponsor van de robotica competitie waaraan de Fontys studenten deelnemen. Een bezoek aan HAAS kan dus niet ontbreken in deze studiereis.

Fontys studenten goed vertegenwoordigd
Momenteel zijn 7 Fontys studenten in Californië, USA voor wedstrijden in de FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Zij nemen deel aan wedstrijden ten noorden van Los Angeles in Port Hueneme, vlak boven Santa Monica en Malibu. Het betreft studenten van de Fontys opleidingen ICT en Mechatronica.
